Job description

Software Developer with Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software solutions, APIs, and UI/UX for applications, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.

  • Design and develop Kafka-based stream-processing applications, producers, consumers, messaging configurations, and real-time data flows.

  • Develop automated unit and integration tests to validate application functionality, Kafka workflows, and AI-enabled features for quality and reliability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, data-processing issues, and AI/API integration problems while documenting root causes and solutions.

  • Design, develop, and configure MongoDB databases to support application development and testing environments. Ensure the databases are properly structured, optimized, secured, and maintained to support application functionality, data management, and reliable testing.

  • Analyze business requirements and develop UAT scenarios, test cases, and supporting documentation.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automation tests using UFT/Open2Test and Selenium WebDriver with Java and .NET across multiple browsers

  • Perform manual and automation testing of financial applications, including Integration, Regression, System, Functional, and Ad-Hoc testing.

  • Participate in daily Scrum meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.

  • Frontend/UI: UI/UX Development, Web Applications, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

  • Event Streaming: Apache Kafka, Kafka Producers/Consumers, Topics, DLQ, Retry Strategies, Stream Processing.

  • Databases: MongoDB, SQL/Relational Databases, Data Modeling, Query Optimization.

  • AI & Integration: AI/ML API Integration, AI-enabled Application Testing.

  • Test Automation: Selenium WebDriver, UFT, Open2Test, Java-based Automation, .NET-based Automation.

  • Testing: Unit, Integration, Functional, Regression, System, UAT, Ad-Hoc, End-to-End Testing.

  • QA & Test Documentation: Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scripts, UAT Documentation, Traceability, Defect Management.

  • Development & Testing Tools: Jenkins, Jira, ALM/QC, Git, CI/CD.

  • Frameworks: BDD, Cucumber, Open2Test, Automation Frameworks.

  • Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Azure, Docker, CI/CD, Cloud-based Application Deployment.

  • Software Development: SDLC/STLC, Agile/Scrum, Requirements Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Troubleshooting.

Work location is Portland, ME with required travel to client locations throughout USA.
