About the Business
Our client, PREMIER DUCTS (QLD) PTY LTD, is seeking a qualified and experienced Software Developer to design, develop, test, implement and maintain software applications that support business operations and improve system performance.
The successful applicant will be responsible for developing reliable software solutions, analysing technical requirements, writing and testing code, resolving software issues and maintaining technical documentation. The role will contribute to the development and improvement of software systems in line with business requirements, quality standards and operational objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Research, consult, analyse and evaluate system program needs to identify technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods.

Write, modify and maintain software code to develop and enhance software applications in accordance with technical specifications and business requirements.

Design and develop software solutions by analysing system requirements, defining program structures and determining appropriate programming approaches.

Conduct software testing, debugging and troubleshooting to identify and resolve errors and ensure the functionality, reliability and integrity of software applications.

Prepare and maintain program documentation, including technical specifications, system designs, coding records and operational procedures.

Develop and implement software solutions to address identified system deficiencies and improve existing applications and processes.

Consult with users, business analysts and other technical personnel to clarify software requirements and ensure that developed solutions meet operational needs.

Participate in software reviews, system testing and implementation activities to ensure compliance with development standards and project requirements.

Monitor and maintain software applications, identify opportunities for improvement and implement updates to enhance system performance and maintainability.
Skills and Experience Required
The successful applicant must have:

Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Software Development, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience as a Software Developer, Application Developer, Programmer Analyst or in a similar role.

Experience in software coding, application development, debugging, testing and system maintenance.

Knowledge of software development methodologies, technical documentation and system implementation processes.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical communication skills.
