Software Engineer

Are you an experienced software engineer looking for an opportunity to join a growing company? AX’s dev team is fun and dedicated, deploying best-in-class UAS/drone software, integrating diverse tools and sensors, supporting the rapidly evolving UAS industry.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Experienced with development and deployment of browser-based software; experience with real-time data display, geospatial/situational awareness a big plus

• Experienced with Java and comfortable with both typed and object-oriented languages, specifically Typescript and Python.

• Experienced with SQL database

• Flexible, adaptable, willing to learn

• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, client-driven environment

Desired additional qualifications:

• Familiar with Spring Boot (Java) and Angular (Typescript)

• Knowledge of deployment infrastructure, Kubernetes, security hardening clusters and config management.

• Some experience with centralized metrics and log collection, REST APIs, and other web API standards.

Direct experience with aviation software, air domain awareness, and altitude reference data would be valuable, but anyone with strong coding skills can easily pick up what they need to know to thrive here. Compensation commensurate with skills and experience, between $40 and $80 per hour full-time, plus generous PTO, 401K match, and benefits.
