Software Engineer (Collaborative Web Platform)
Pantheon
Job description
-
Pantheon is building the next generation of web content infrastructure — a real-time, collaborative platform that redefines how teams create, publish, and manage content on the modern web
-
Content management has been largely unchanged for two decades
-
We are changing that
-
As a Software Engineer II on this team, you will be an early engineer on a founding-stage product with real momentum behind it
-
You will build features end-to-end, contribute to architectural decisions, and work alongside a small, senior team that moves fast and cares deeply about craft
-
This is not a role where you wait for tickets — it is a role where you help define what gets built and how
-
You will work across the full stack — backend services, APIs, and frontend systems — building the core capabilities of a real-time collaborative content platform
-
You will work closely with a small team of engineers, as well as product and design partners, to ship features that developers and content teams rely on every day
-
This team is early-stage by design
-
The product is being defined as it is built, and every engineer on the team has a meaningful voice in that process
-
If you are energized by that kind of environment, this is the right place
-
Build and ship full-stack features across backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces
-
Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code with shared ownership of quality
-
Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions as an active participant, not just an implementer
-
Collaborate closely with product and design to translate requirements into working, well-crafted software
-
Integrate AI tooling into your development workflow and into the product itself
-
Participate in code review and help maintain a high engineering bar across the team
-
Learn and grow quickly — this is a team that will stretch you in the best possible way
