Remote role with occasional travel to Morley when required.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building and maintaining reliable, scalable software solutions that support critical business services.

This role has a strong backend focus, working primarily with Java and Spring Boot, while also providing opportunities to contribute across the wider technology stack, including frontend development.

Working as part of a cross-functional agile team, you will:

Design, develop and maintain high-quality software solutions.

Deliver features from concept and development through to deployment and support.

Build scalable APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

Contribute to frontend development using Vue.js where required.

Develop and maintain applications and services using Node.js.

Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.

Participate in code reviews, pair programming and knowledge-sharing activities.

Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Delivery teams.

Support CI/CD pipelines, automation and DevOps practices.

Troubleshoot issues and continually improve system performance, reliability and maintainability.

Contribute to engineering standards, best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring

Commercial experience as a Software Engineer delivering production-grade software.

Strong backend development experience using Java and Spring Boot.

Experience developing RESTful APIs and scalable services.

Exposure to modern frontend technologies, ideally Vue.js.

Experience working with Node.js.

Good understanding of software design principles, coding standards and engineering best practices.

Experience writing automated tests and maintaining code quality.

Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS.

Experience working within Agile environments.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git and DevOps principles.

Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.

A passion for learning and continuously improving your technical capability.
