Our client seeks a senior software engineer to provide application support, maintenance, enhancement, and operational oversight for a business-critical physical security and access management platform. The role requires hands-on production support across the full stack, including Angular and TypeScript, AWS Lambda services, REST APIs, Kafka, and SQL databases, with responsibility for monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, compliance reporting, and vendor and stakeholder collaboration.

Rate: $130,000.00 to $150,000.00/yr. w2

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day production support for a cloud-based access management platform.

Troubleshoot application, integration, and data issues across UI, APIs, messaging, and databases.

Support AWS Lambda-based services and release and deployment workflows.

Monitor application health, investigate incidents, and drive root cause analysis.

Partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and internal platform and security teams.

Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and support procedures.

Support audit and compliance needs and operational reporting.

Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotations while maintaining runbooks and operational documentation.
Experience Requirements
-
5+ years supporting enterprise applications in production.
-
3+ years supporting AWS cloud-native and serverless solutions.
-
Angular and TypeScript for production support and troubleshooting.

AWS Lambda using Python and/or .NET.
-
REST API and integration troubleshooting.
-
Kafka.
-
SQL Server and PostgreSQL.

GitHub and GitHub Actions.

AWS AI and ML integrations such as Bedrock, Textract, and Rekognition.

Monitoring and incident response using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk, or equivalent.

Reporting using Power BI, SSRS, or equivalent, including audit and operational reporting.

Strong analytical troubleshooting and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Preferred: Physical security and access-control platform support and integrations with systems such as Avigilon, Symmetry, gate controllers, and intercom or callbox solutions.

Preferred: Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments.

Nice to have: AWS services including Connect, Lex, Aurora, RDS, S3, and CloudFront.

Nice to have: AWS security services including IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
