Position Summary
Ragle Inc. is seeking a motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our team for a 10-week summer internship in Summer 2027.
This is a hands-on software development opportunity where the intern will contribute to applications and systems that support real-world construction operations. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, engineering, or a related field and has a strong interest in full-stack software development.
The Software Engineer Intern will work with experienced professionals while gaining practical experience developing, testing, debugging, and supporting modern web and mobile applications. This role provides exposure to both software engineering practices and the business processes that support heavy civil construction operations.
Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain web and Ionic mobile application features using TypeScript and Angular

Develop reactive forms, RxJS workflows, reusable components, route guards, and interceptors

Build, test, and debug ASP.NET Core REST/OData APIs using C#

Use Entity Framework Core to develop relational data models, migrations, and database queries
-
Implement secure authentication and authorization using JWT/OAuth, roles, and claims
-
Troubleshoot issues across the user interface, API, and database layers
-
Develop and maintain software features based on business and operational requirements
-
Write and maintain automated tests to support application quality and reliability
-
Participate in Git-based development, code reviews, and CI/CD processes
-
Collaborate with software developers and Company personnel to understand business processes and application requirements

Learn and work with existing applications, systems, development tools, and Company processes
-
Identify and communicate software issues, bugs, and opportunities for improvement
-
Maintain organized and well-documented code and development work
-
Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational needs
Qualifications & Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

Experience with C#, TypeScript, Angular, APIs, SQL, or relational databases through coursework, projects, internships, or previous experience

Basic understanding of full-stack software development, object-oriented programming, and data modeling

Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented, curious, and willing to learn unfamiliar technologies, tools, and business processes

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, professional environment

Available to work 40 hours per week for the full 10-week summer internship program

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications

Previous software development internship, co-op, or professional experience

Experience developing applications using Angular, ASP.NET Core, C#, TypeScript, or Ionic

Experience working with SQL, Entity Framework Core, REST APIs, or OData

Familiarity with Git, code reviews, automated testing, or CI/CD practices

Experience working with relational databases and data modeling

Interest in applying technology to real-world business and construction operation

Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week

Participation in the full 10-week Summer 2027 internship program is required
