Kratos is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO for SATCOM and Space Ground System project support. The Software Engineer will be involved in full-stack development on Linux based systems in support of customer driven software development deliverables. This position requires an individual with experience working with Python, Typescript back-end and Angular web framework front-end to develop software while managing priorities and communication with multiple teams of software developers within an AGILE process.

Job Duties:

• Developing full-stack software using Python and Typescript with Angular web framework.

• Mentorship of junior engineers.

• Supporting new feature development as well as sustainment work of existing code base, including bug investigation and resolution.

• Peer reviewing fellow team member's work.

• Participating in planning, prioritization, design, test, and deployment of SATCOM software.

• Developing test cases and unit tests to support software level validation efforts.

• Supporting documentation of design architecture, implementation, and requirements traceability.

• Influencing future development activities, including participation in trade studies related to hardware and software updates and improvements.

Experience and Skills:

• US Citizen with TS/SCI eligibility

• The successful candidate must have advanced software development experience from school or industry to be proficient in the following:

• • Experience with front end development tools (such as Angular web framework)

  • Experience with Python and Typescript programming on Linux / RHEL platforms

  • Experience using debugging tools

• Ability to understand ICDs, Specifications, and Datasheets

• Ability to drive prioritization discussions based on customer needs and team workflow

• Ability to design solutions to complex engineering problems

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience with SATCOM systems, Antenna systems, and RF components

• Experience with Angular web framework

• Languages/Tools: Python, Typescript, Angular, C/C++, Docker, Git, GitLab, JIRA/Confluence.

• • Scripting: Python, Shell

  • Testing: Unit, regression, and performance testing expertise.

  • Certifications: Security+

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Competitive salary based on experience and education Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000
