, an early-stage AI technology company building software solutions for the insurance industry.

The company is developing an AI platform designed to automate complex insurance workflows and help agencies, brokerages, and MGAs improve operational efficiency through AI-powered digital workers.

This is an early engineering opportunity with significant ownership across product development, AI workflows, backend systems, infrastructure, and customer-facing solutions.

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to help build the systems powering the company's AI platform.

You will work across the full technology stack, developing product features from frontend interfaces to backend services and critical infrastructure. You will also work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to translate complex business processes into reliable, scalable software.

The role is well suited to an engineer who takes ownership of problems end-to-end, is comfortable operating in an early-stage environment, and has demonstrated the ability to build and ship meaningful software.

What You'll Do

• Develop and refine autonomous AI-powered digital workers that automate insurance workflows end-to-end.

• Design, implement, and ship product features across the full stack, including frontend interfaces, backend APIs, services, and infrastructure.

• Build systems that support reliable, scalable AI workflows and production workloads.

• Work directly with customers to understand business processes and develop tailored technical solutions.

• Strengthen core platform capabilities, including asynchronous processing, compute infrastructure, observability, and operational systems.

• Measure and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Collaborate with product, AI, and go-to-market teams to translate customer requirements into technical solutions and product priorities.

• Take ownership of projects from initial design through implementation, deployment, and iteration.

What We're Looking For

Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering, with experience shipping production software end-to-end.

• Experience working in an early-stage or high-growth environment, particularly within AI, B2B SaaS, FinTech, or related technology sectors

• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of meaningful technical projects and deliver them through completion.

• Evidence of strong technical execution through professional work, products shipped, open-source contributions, side projects, or entrepreneurial experience.

Technical Skills

• Strong full-stack engineering capabilities, with experience working across both frontend and backend systems.

• Experience with React, TypeScript, and Golang is preferred; strong proficiency in another programming language is also considered.

• Ability to work across the stack, with a meaningful backend component to your work.

• Practical understanding of AI concepts, APIs, workflows, and AI development tooling

• Experience with one or more areas of platform or infrastructure engineering, including:

• Asynchronous processing

• Observability and monitoring

• Compute infrastructure

• Performance optimization

• Production systems and reliability

Education

• A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.

• Strong equivalent technical experience may also be considered.

Work Location

This position is on-site five days per week in the San Francisco Bay Area

. Candidates must currently be based in the area or be willing to relocate.

Compensation

Base Salary: $160,000–$230,000 USD per year
