Software Test Engineer(Contract)

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our software team on an interim basis to complete software verification activities. In this role, you will execute software verification test plans for a web-based application and participate at all levels in this process.

Your energetic approach will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of performance, functionality, and user experience. You will collaborate closely with developers, quality engineers, and product managers to identify issues early and facilitate smooth releases through rigorous testing and continuous improvement.

Duties

• Execute software verification of web-based Metric 2.0 software

• Document test execution results using GDP

• Use test management tools X-Ray, Jira

• Report bugs and make recommendations to improve the software product

• Collaborate with other Test Engineers, Product Manager, Software Developers and other team members

• Retest software after bugs are fixed to ensure the program works properly

• Participate in software risk identification and FMEA

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, test engineering, or test automation. Medical device industry experience preferred.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, C#, or Bash Shell(Preferred)

• Methodologies: Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum workflows and CI/CD development pipelines.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and clear written and verbal communication.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
