Job Description

We are looking for an experienced

Solution Architect โ€“ Cyber Security/Risk

to support enterprise technology initiatives. The role will focus on assessing business requirements, existing business processes, applications, and technology environments to develop

architecture blueprints, capability models, and target-state architecture

aligned with corporate security, compliance, governance, and technology strategies.

You will work closely with

Business Partners, IT teams, vendors, security teams, and other stakeholders

to document current-state architecture, identify technology and security risks, and define practical architecture solutions. The role also involves supporting architecture governance, application modernization, emerging technology adoption, and the organization's transition toward targeted architecture states.

Key Requirements

  • Strong experience in

    Information Technology development, design, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture

    roles.

  • Strong understanding of

    business architecture, data architecture, and cyber security architecture

    .

  • Experience with

    architecture blueprints, capability models, current-state and target-state architecture

    .

  • Strong knowledge of

    IT risk assessment, cyber security, governance, compliance, and security policies

    .

  • Experience identifying, assessing, and managing

    technology and security risks

    .

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

  • Proven ability to work effectively with

    cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors

    .

  • Ability to manage

    complexity and ambiguity

    and translate business requirements into practical architecture solutions.

  • Experience with

    enterprise architecture practices, standards, patterns, and governance

    .

  • Strong understanding of

    application modernization and legacy platform transformation

    .

  • Knowledge of

    public and private cloud platforms

    , including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Experience with or knowledge of

    .NET, Java, Spring, Python, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps

    is an asset.

  • Strong understanding of

    modern digital platforms and cloud-based architecture

    .

  • Growth mindset with a willingness to continuously learn and adopt emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess existing

    business requirements, business processes, applications, and technology environments

    to support enterprise architecture strategy.

  • Develop and maintain

    architecture blueprints, capability models, and technology architecture documentation

    .

  • Document and analyze the

    current-state architecture

    of business-managed applications.

  • Define

    target-state architecture

    and develop practical roadmaps to move the organization toward desired architecture states.

  • Identify, assess, and manage

    technology, cyber security, compliance, and operational risks

    .

  • Ensure solutions and deliverables align with

    RBC security policies, corporate standards, governance requirements, and security directives

    .

  • Partner with

    Business Partners, IT teams, vendors, security teams, and other stakeholders

    to develop effective architecture solutions.

  • Present and communicate

    architecture blueprints and recommendations

    to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Support the implementation and execution of

    architecture strategies and enterprise technology initiatives

    .

  • Evaluate current and emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve the organization's technology maturity.

  • Support

    application modernization, legacy platform transformation, cloud adoption, and digital platform initiatives

    .

  • Provide architectural guidance on

    cloud, applications, data, integration, security, and infrastructure

    .

  • Participate in

    architecture governance, reviews, standards, and decision-making processes

    .

  • Identify opportunities to improve the

    architecture practice, technology capabilities, and overall solution maturity

    .

  • Work collaboratively across teams to resolve complex architectural challenges and drive successful technology outcomes.
