We’re actively seeking a talented Sr Business Analyst – Product Portfolio Management & Governance to join our Product Development team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE.
As a Sr Business Analyst – Product Portfolio Management & Governance, you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by supporting the governance, portfolio management, and execution of Product Development’s initiatives. You will support the execution excellence of the Product Development product portfolio through governance coordination, portfolio reporting, stage gate administration, and cross-functional collaboration. This role serves as a key point of coordination across Life and Annuity Product Delivery Teams, helping to ensure consistent execution, informed-decision-making, and continuous improvement across the product development lifecycle.
How you’ll help move us forward:
Portfolio Operations & Coordination

Coordinate Product Development portfolio activities across Life and Annuity projects

Establish and administer product portfolio schedules, milestones, and dependencies

Track action items and risks early to ensure timely decision-making and execution

Facilitate recurring governance meetings and clear communications across teams and stakeholders
Stage Gate Governance

Support administration of the Product Development Stage Gate process and framework

Coordinate gate reviews, approvals, and required documentation

Monitor compliance with stage gate requirements and governance standards

Assist with continuous improvements to governance processes and templates
Executive Reporting & Portfolio Insights

Prepare executive dashboards, reports and presentation material

Consolidated project updates and communicate portfolio health

Identify reporting trends and escalate potential risks
Process Improvement & Documentation

Act as process champion and leader for new stage gate and governance framework – find opportunities for iteration

Drive adoption of standardized processes and templates to improve efficiency, transparency, and audit readiness
Cross-Functional/Project Management Support

Serve as the central coordination point across Product Development, aligning Pricing, Product Delivery and key stakeholders to support timely execution and clear ownership

Coordinate end-to-end deliverables, requirements, clarifications, and feedback loops across Product Development and key stakeholders to ensure needs are understood, addressed, and documented
The experience you bring:

5 years of business analysis, project coordination, or portfolio management experience

Strong communication and facilitation skills with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

Ability to track and manage progress across multiple projects, deliverables, and priorities
-
Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Copilot, OneNote, Teams, SharePoint, Project, PowerPoint and Excel, as well as additional project management tools such as Planview or Smartsheet
What makes you stand out:

Proven experience in product development or delivery functions, preferably for Life and/or Annuity products

Experience with governance tooling, portfolio management systems, or Agile delivery frameworks

Familiarity with AI productivity, prompting and models

Experience building dashboards or executive reporting

Financial services experience especially with Life Insurance and Annuities

Continuous improvement mindset

Base Pay Range:**
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$103,140.00 - $126,060.00
