Senior Business Systems Analyst

**### What does this job involve?

Join our creative team of global innovators and problem solvers as a Senior Business Systems Analyst. You'll independently lead the analysis and implementation of IBM TRIRIGA-based solutions, serving as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of complex TRIRIGA applications across the business sub-segment.

This role focuses on independently managing business requirements for moderately complex projects, developing comprehensive functional specifications, and working closely with clients to translate their needs into effective TRIRIGA solutions. You'll work autonomously on challenging initiatives while also serving as a resource and mentor to less experienced analysts, communicating with diverse stakeholders and collaborating with clients, onsite teams, and developers to ensure strategic alignment between business objectives and technical implementations.

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for:

Requirements Analysis & Documentation**

  • Independently lead requirements gathering and analysis initiatives for TRIRIGA-based solutions of moderate to high complexity

  • Develop comprehensive functional specifications, detailed business requirements documents with acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices

  • Facilitate complex workshops and stakeholder interviews to understand business processes, pain points, and strategic objectives across multiple departments or locations

  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional designs for development teams, applying professional judgment to resolve ambiguities

** Solution Design & Technical Expertise**

  • Apply comprehensive TRIRIGA knowledge to recommend optimal solutions and

  • identify opportunities for system optimization

  • Provide expert guidance on TRIRIGA best practices, configurations, and capabilities to stakeholders and project teams

  • Design and document process improvements that leverage TRIRIGA functionality to increase efficiency and effectiveness

  • Contribute to solution architecture discussions and technical design reviews

** Quality Assurance & Testing Leadership**

  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination

  • Design comprehensive test strategies, develop functional test cases, and help manage defect resolution processes

  • Validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality standards

  • Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements

** Business Process & Documentation**

  • Create detailed process flows, user personas, use cases, user stories, and workflow diagrams to guide development efforts

  • Document current state and future state business processes through comprehensive analysis

  • Develop standard operating procedures, training materials, and knowledge transfer documentation

  • Identify process optimization opportunities and recommend enhancements

** Stakeholder Management & Communication**

  • Serve as primary liaison between clients, business users, and technical development teams for assigned projects

  • Facilitate consensus among stakeholders with competing priorities and complex requirements

  • Present findings, recommendations, and status updates to leadership and senior stakeholders

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across business sub-segment and related teams

** Project Delivery & Estimation**

  • Contribute expert input to story points, effort estimation, project planning activities, and timeline development

  • Manage assigned work streams independently within moderately complex projects

  • Identify project risks and issues, recommending mitigation strategies

  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on schedule

** Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing**

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to junior business analysts

  • Review and validate work products from less experienced team members

  • Share TRIRIGA expertise and business analysis best practices to build team capability

  • Support onboarding and training of new team members

Security & Location (required)**

  • Active Top Secret Clearance

  • Ability to commute to client location in Washington DC

** Education & Experience**

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or comparable work experience with demonstrated progression in responsibility)

  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience with business analysis and implementation

  • Proven track record of independently managing moderately complex projects from requirements through delivery

  • 3+ years of strong business analysis experience with comprehensive requirements gathering and documentation expertise

** TRIRIGA Technical Knowledge (highly desired but consideration will be given the right candidates)**

  • Comprehensive understanding of TRIRIGA Application Platform functionality, capabilities, and architecture

  • In-depth knowledge of TRIRIGA workflows, business objects, data structures, and integration points

  • Advanced experience with TRIRIGA reporting capabilities, BIRT reporting, and dashboard development

  • Working knowledge of TRIRIGA configuration, UX customization, and data migration processes

  • Understanding of TRIRIGA modules including Real Estate, Capital Projects, Space Management, and Facilities Management

** Business Domain Expertise**

  • Solid understanding of real estate, facilities management, workplace services, or capital project management business processes

  • Knowledge of industry best practices and standards in corporate real estate and facilities operations (IFMA, CoreNet Global, etc.)

  • Familiarity with IWMS platforms and enterprise asset management solutions

** Business Analysis & Documentation**

  • Advanced skills in creating business requirements documents, functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and process flows

  • Proficiency with requirements management and documentation tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms

  • Experience with data analysis, gap analysis, and impact assessments

  • Ability to develop comprehensive traceability matrices and requirements repositories

** Methodology & Process**

  • Demonstrated experience with both Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall project delivery methodologies

  • Understanding of ITIL, change management, and organizational adoption practices

  • Experience with iterative development processes and sprint planning

  • Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and testing best practices

** Preferred Qualifications**

  • Professional certifications such as IIBA CBAP/CCBA or PMI-PBA

  • IBM TRIRIGA certifications or equivalent vendor-specific credentials

  • Advanced SQL skills with ability to query databases for analysis and reporting

  • Experience with additional IWMS or EAM platforms (Archibus, Maximo, Planon)

  • Knowledge of integration technologies, APIs, and middleware solutions

  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos)

  • Experience in federal government or highly regulated environments

  • PMP, Agile/Scrum certifications

Estimated compensation for this position: **

116,900.00 – 169,300.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
