** Job Description **

When you're part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll do meaningful work that enables our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. As the world leader in serving science, our digital ecosystem powers billions of dollars in customer interactions and supports scientists, researchers, healthcare professionals and industrial customers around the globe. Our Digital Customer Experience organization is responsible for defining and delivering the future of digital commerce across our digital experiences.

As a Senior Digital Product Manager, you will define product strategy and lead a portfolio of capabilities that shape how customers discover, understand and act on personalized commercial offers across Thermo Fisher Scientific's digital ecosystem. Your scope will span customer experiences across fishersci.com, thermofisher.com and other experiences, connecting marketing strategy, pricing, merchandising and customer context into coherent digital experiences.

You will work closely with Digital Marketing, Pricing, Merchandising, Commercial teams, UX, Engineering, Analytics and other product leaders to determine how promotions and customer offers should appear throughout the digital journey. This role requires balancing increasingly sophisticated commercial strategies with the need to keep customer experiences intuitive, relevant and easy to understand.

Success requires strong product judgment in a complex B2B environment where customers may have negotiated pricing, contract-specific terms, account-level purchasing relationships and promotional eligibility. You will help ensure that commercial offers create meaningful customer value without introducing unnecessary cognitive load, conflicting messages or friction into the purchasing journey.

Location : (report onsite to one of these sites) Carlsbad CA, Morrisville NC, Pittsburgh PA, Hillsboro OR, Waltham MA, or Tijuana Mexico. Relocation assistance is NOT provided.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.

How You Will Make an Impact

Product Vision and Strategy

  • Define the product vision and strategy for digital promotional and offer experiences across our digital commerce ecosystem.

  • Translate customer, marketing and commercial strategies into product opportunities that improve customer value and support measurable business outcomes.

  • Develop and maintain a multi-year product roadmap informed by customer needs, commercial priorities, platform capabilities and emerging digital trends.

  • Identify opportunities that span individual sites, platforms or organizational boundaries and drive alignment on common product capabilities.

  • Partner with other digital product leaders to ensure promotional experiences complement key elements of customer journeys.

Customer Offers and Experience Design

  • Shape experiences that help customers understand relevant offers, purchasing options and value without creating unnecessary complexity or cognitive load.

  • Partner with Digital Marketing, Pricing and Commercial teams to determine how promotions, contract pricing, volume discounts, customer-specific programs and other offers should be represented digitally.

  • Establish product principles for the presentation and prioritization of multiple simultaneous customer messages, ensuring that the most relevant information is understandable and actionable.

  • Develop strategies for personalized offers using customer profile, purchasing behavior, account context, contract status, product affinity and other relevant signals.

  • Work closely with UX and Research to understand how customers perceive pricing and promotional information and use those insights to simplify complex commercial concepts.

  • Advocate for the customer when marketing or commercial objectives could create confusing, duplicative or competing experiences.

Marketing and Commercial Partnership

  • Serve as a strategic product partner to Digital Marketing and commercial stakeholders, helping translate campaign and promotional objectives into scalable digital capabilities rather than one-off experiences.

  • Partner with stakeholders to distinguish between business requests and underlying customer or commercial problems, then identify the most effective product intervention.

  • Develop business justification for major investments, including expected customer impact, commercial value, opportunity cost and measurable success criteria.

  • Guide decisions regarding when offers should be broadly presented, targeted to specific segments or personalized to individual account context.

Experimentation, Measurement and Optimization

  • Establish product KPIs and outcome measures across promotional engagement, conversion, incremental revenue, margin impact, customer behavior and experience quality.

  • Develop hypotheses and experimentation strategies to determine whether promotional experiences generate incremental customer behavior rather than simply discounting existing demand.

  • Use A/B testing, multivariate testing, customer research and behavioral analytics to improve offer relevance and presentation.

  • Establish appropriate guardrail metrics to ensure improvements in conversion do not create unintended impacts on margin, customer trust or long-term purchasing behavior.

  • Translate performance data and customer insights into roadmap decisions and recommendations for senior leadership.

Cross-Functional Product Leadership

  • Lead alignment across Digital Marketing, Pricing, Merchandising, Engineering, UX, Analytics, Legal, QA, Commercial teams and other product organizations.

  • Make and communicate prioritization decisions when customer, commercial and technical needs compete for investment.

  • Clearly articulate expected business and customer outcomes, product trade-offs and strategic rationale to executive and technical audiences.

  • Partner with Engineering and architecture leaders to evolve the technology and data capabilities needed to support scalable promotional and personalization experiences.

  • Influence teams beyond direct product ownership to create consistent customer experiences across the broader digital ecosystem.

  • Anticipate dependencies across products and platforms and proactively align roadmaps to reduce fragmentation and duplicated effort.

Product Discovery and Delivery

  • Lead product discovery for ambiguous customer and commercial problems before committing teams to specific solutions.

  • Balance near-term commercial needs with development of scalable product capabilities that can support multiple future marketing and merchandising use cases.

  • Maintain accountability for customer and business outcomes throughout the product lifecycle rather than measuring success primarily through feature delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 7+ years of experience in Digital Product Management, Digital Commerce, Customer Experience or closely related roles.

  • Demonstrated experience defining product strategy and owning roadmaps for customer-facing digital products.

  • Experience leading product decisions in complex, cross-functional environments with multiple business and technical stakeholders.

  • Experience using analytics, customer insights and experimentation to make prioritization and investment decisions.

  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous customer and business problems into product strategy, measurable outcomes and executable roadmaps.

  • Strong ability to communicate strategy, recommendations and trade-offs to both senior executives and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering digital commerce capabilities for B2B customers, procurement organizations or enterprise purchasing workflows.

  • Experience with contract pricing, customer-specific catalogs, negotiated commercial programs, promotions or other complex offer structures.

  • Experience developing personalized or segmented digital customer experiences.

  • Experience partnering closely with Marketing organizations to translate campaign strategies into scalable digital products.

  • Experience designing customer experiences where multiple messages, prices or offers must be presented without creating unnecessary cognitive complexity.

  • Experience with global digital platforms that must support regional and market-specific requirements.

  • MBA or advanced business education.

Key Capabilities for Success

  • Strategic product leadership: Able to define a clear product direction from ambiguous customer and commercial problems.

  • Customer advocacy: Maintains a disciplined focus on helping customers understand value and make confident purchasing decisions.

  • Commercial acumen: Understands how pricing, promotions, merchandising and customer economics interact with digital experience design.

  • Experience judgment: Recognizes when additional personalization or commercial messaging creates value and when it creates unnecessary cognitive load.

  • Data-driven decision making: Uses experimentation, analytics and customer insight to challenge assumptions and guide investment.

  • Systems thinking: Understands how decisions within one experience affect the broader customer journey and digital ecosystem.

  • Curiosity and continuous learning: Actively monitors customer behavior, competitive practices and emerging digital technologies to evolve product strategy.
