Job Summary

Shades Interiors is looking for an experienced

Senior Interior Designer

to join our Interior Design team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality interior design and fit-out projects.

The role requires a strong designer who can take ownership of projects from

concept development through detailed design and execution

, while coordinating effectively with technical, project and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead interior design concepts in line with project briefs and client requirements.

• Prepare and review space planning, layouts, mood boards, material selections and design presentations.

• Develop projects from concept through design development and detailed design stages.

• Ensure design intent is maintained throughout technical development and site execution.

• Coordinate with Technical, MEP, FF&E, Procurement and Project/Site teams.

• Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples and mock-ups from a design perspective.

• Resolve design and coordination issues during project execution.

• Attend internal, consultant and project coordination meetings when required.

• Support junior designers and review design deliverables to maintain quality and consistency.

• Ensure assigned design deliverables are completed in accordance with project programmes and submission deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in

  Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related discipline

  .

• Minimum 7–10 years of professional interior design experience

  , preferably within UAE.

• Strong experience in

  interior fit-out and Design & Build projects

  .

• Proven portfolio demonstrating

  high-quality completed interior projects

  .

• Strong capability in concept design, space planning, materials, finishes and detailing.

• Good understanding of joinery, fit-out construction and site execution.

• Strong proficiency in

  AutoCAD

  and relevant design/presentation software.

• Ability to coordinate design requirements with technical and multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.

• UAE project experience is strongly preferred.
