The Senior Lending Product Manager owns the vision, roadmap, and business performance of EZ’s lending products globally — across the US, Latin America, and newly acquired markets. This role owns the outcome of lending, measured by Net Revenue ROI across all customer segments (“buckets”), and leads the strategy of how we lend: ALG (automatic lending guidance) ranges, the CQI (Customer Qualification Index) model and its objective function, and the point-of-sale (POS) user interface for lending decisions.

This role is leveled Senior because of what it owns: a decisioning model that sets what EZ lends against every item, in every store, in every market. A wrong objective function in CQI moves our Net Revenue, not a screen. The Senior Lending Product Manager owns that model’s definition and performance, carries the lending number in front of executive leadership, and sets the pilot and measurement standard the rest of the function follows.

AI is foundational to this role. The Senior Lending Product Manager partners with Data Science to deliver AI-driven lending models and champions AI adoption across the lending function. This role triggers WHEN ALG ranges and CQI logic need to be re-evaluated and identifies WHERE behavioral issues are impacting lending results.

This role is technically hands-on. The Senior Lending Product Manager is expected to query production data directly in SQL, work in Python, and independently validate scoring and risk model output — reading a confusion matrix, a lift curve, or a default probability distribution and challenging it on the math. This is a hard requirement, not a preference.

This role involves close cross-functional collaboration with Data Science, Earning Assets, POS development, field operations, and executive leadership to identify lending opportunities, validate them through controlled pilots, and operationalize lending improvements at scale.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the global business outcome of lending, measured by Net Revenue ROI across all customer segments (buckets), drop rate, behavior by segment, share of loans within guidance, and the lending side of pricing-change tripwires (automated alerts linking pricing changes to lending outcomes).

  • Lead the strategy of HOW we lend: ALG (automatic lending guidance) ranges, the CQI (Customer Qualification Index) model and its objective function, and the point-of-sale (POS) user interface for lending decisions.

  • Own the lending model portfolio end to end: define the CQI objective function, validate scoring output independently in SQL and Python, decide what ships to the field, and trigger WHEN ALG ranges and CQI logic need to be re-evaluated based on portfolio performance.

  • Own the CQI pilot and measurement standard across all markets pilot design, testing methodology, launch, and monitoring — running the U.S. and LatAm pilots to a single comparable methodology rather than as separate efforts.

  • Lead the review and optimization of current ALG ranges across all operating countries.

  • Build lending experimentation and monitoring infrastructure with Data Science — pilot design, testing methodology, trigger logic, causal measurement, and performance tracking.

  • Identify WHERE behavioral issues are impacting lending results and drive corrective action with field operations.

  • Define POS UI requirements for lending decisions and work with product and POS development teams to deliver them across markets.

  • Define the vision, roadmap, and requirements for AI-driven lending products, translating model performance into business outcomes and championing AI adoption across the lending function.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Pricing Product Manager and Earning Assets on tripwires connecting pricing changes to lending outcomes.

  • Prioritize the global lending backlog, balancing immediate enhancements against strategic builds, and arbitrate competing demands across markets.

  • Build the business case for lending investments — sizing the value hypothesis, quantifying expected Net Revenue ROI impact, and defending it to executive leadership.

  • Present lending performance, planned changes, and realized business impact to executive leadership on a recurring cadence, guiding data-driven lending decisions and AI adoption at the executive level.

  • Actively applies artificial intelligence tools and emerging technologies to automate routine tasks, accelerate problem-solving, and deliver measurable improvements in quality and efficiency within area of responsibility.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced degree strongly preferred — MBA, or a master’s in analytics, business intelligence, finance, statistics, or a related quantitative field.

  • 8+ years of product, lending, or commercial ownership experience, including at least 3 years at senior, lead, or manager level with accountability for a product portfolio’s financial performance — not solely backlog and delivery ownership.

  • Documented, quantified business impact — revenue, ROI, loss-rate, conversion, or retention gains the candidate personally owned and can size in currency or percentage points.

  • Hands-on SQL and Python — required, and assessed. Must be able to query production data directly, run the analysis without an analyst, and independently validate a scoring model’s output.

  • Proven experience building and shipping ML, AI, or Gen AI products end to end with data science teams — including at least one scoring, default-probability, propensity, or decisioning model the candidate took into production and measured.

  • Demonstrated practical use of AI tools (Claude Code, Claude, or similar LLM tools) in daily work — AI fluency is critical to how this team operates.

  • Experience designing and running pilots and experiments (testing methodology, monitoring, causal measurement) to validate product changes.

  • Experience presenting to and defending recommendations in front of C-suite or executive committee audiences.

  • Experience operating across multiple countries, currencies, or business units; comfortable owning a global scope from a regional base.

  • Experience in consumer lending, credit risk, underwriting, insurance, or decisioning models strongly preferred.

  • Pawn, banking, fintech, or specialty finance industry experience a plus.
