The Senior Pricing Product Manager owns the vision, roadmap, and business performance of EZCorp’s pricing products globally, across the US, Latin America, and newly acquired markets. This is a single global owner role, not a market-level role. It owns the outcome of every pricing method across every merchandise category, measured by margin, sales velocity and inventory turns, by pricing indicators (penetration, acceptance, average price), and by field satisfaction with pricing.

This role is leveled Senior because of scope and accountability. It consolidates work previously spread across a pricing manager and multiple pricing data-entry analysts into one owner, and it is expected to design the automated operating model that replaces that manual work. The Senior Pricing Product Manager sets the pricing methodology, carries the pricing number in front of executive leadership, and is the succession bench for pricing leadership.

AI is foundational to this role. The Senior Pricing Product Manager partners with Data Science to deliver AI-driven pricing models, Gen AI-powered data cleanup (aliasing and MDM), and pricing experimentation infrastructure, and champions AI adoption across the pricing function. This role leads the strategy of HOW we price and triggers WHEN pricing methods need to be optimized.

This role is technically hands-on. The Senior Pricing Product Manager is expected to query production data directly in SQL, work in Python, and independently validate model output.

This role involves close cross-functional collaboration with Data Science, Pricing Analysts, Data Engineering, Earning Assets, field operations, and executive leadership to identify pricing opportunities, validate them through controlled experiments, and operationalize pricing improvements at scale. The Senior Pricing Product Manager owns pricing strategy and provides technical direction to the Lead Global Pricing Analyst.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the global business outcome of all pricing methods across all merchandise categories and all operating countries, measured against sales, pricing, and field-satisfaction KPIs.

  • Lead the strategy of HOW we price: which categories need direct input pricing (DIP prices) tied to retail prices, which parameters drive the Historic Pricing method, which manufacturers and models are covered in the product master data (MDM), and which categories require price buffers.

  • Trigger WHEN pricing methods need to be optimized, based on performance signals and early-warning indicators.

  • Define the vision, roadmap, and requirements for AI-driven pricing products — translating model performance into business outcomes and championing AI adoption across the pricing function.

  • Own the pricing model portfolio end to end: define the objective function, validate model output independently in SQL and Python, decide what ships, and retire or rebuild methods that stop performing.

  • Partner with Data Science to build and operationalize pricing experimentation infrastructure — pilots, A/B tests, trigger logic, and monitoring — including the introduction of a partner-developed AI pricing model.

  • Design and stand up the automated pricing operating model that replaces manual pricing data entry — leveraging Gen AI/LLM product matching to improve the product master data (MDM), aliases, and pricing parameters with Data Science and Data Engineering.

  • Build the analytical methodology, trigger logic, and response playbook alongside the Pricing Analysts then own the trigger-to-action workflow: classify pricing issues (data anomaly, aliasing, MDM, or methodology), recommend a fix, estimate the impact, and communicate it to business stakeholders (Earning Assets).

  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to the Lead Global Pricing Analyst setting analytical standards, reviewing methodology, and raising the technical bar of the function without direct reporting authority.

  • Ensure stable prices during transitions and manage the risk of pricing releases through pre- and post-release analysis.

  • Prioritize the global pricing backlog, balancing immediate enhancements against strategic builds, and arbitrate competing demands across markets.

  • Present pricing performance, planned changes, and realized business impact to executive leadership on a recurring cadence, guiding data-driven pricing decisions and AI adoption at the executive

  • Actively applies artificial intelligence tools and emerging technologies to automate routine tasks, accelerate problem-solving, and deliver measurable improvements in quality and efficiency within area of responsibility.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced degree strongly preferred — MBA, or a master’s in analytics, business intelligence, finance, statistics, or a related quantitative field.

  • 8+ years of product, pricing, or commercial ownership experience, including at least 3 years at senior, lead, or manager level with accountability for a product portfolio’s financial performance — not solely backlog and delivery ownership.

  • Documented, quantified business impact — revenue, margin, conversion, or retention gains the candidate personally owned and can size in currency or percentage points.

  • Hands-on SQL and Python — required, and assessed. Must be able to query production data directly, run the analysis without an analyst, and independently validate a model’s output.

  • Proven experience building and shipping ML, AI, or Gen AI products end to end with data science teams — including at least one predictive, propensity, optimization, or pricing model the candidate took into production and measured.

  • Demonstrated practical use of AI tools (Claude Code, Claude, or similar LLM tools) in daily work.

  • Experience designing and running experiments (A/B tests, pilots, monitoring) to validate product changes and measure causal impact.

  • Experience presenting to and defending recommendations in front of C-suite or executive committee audiences.

  • Experience operating across multiple countries, currencies, or business units; comfortable owning a global scope from a regional base.

  • Experience in pricing, revenue management, actuarial or risk pricing, or merchandising analytics strongly preferred.

  • Retail, resale, e-commerce, banking, insurance, or pawn industry experience a plus.
