As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing our revenue recognition processes. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with accounts receivable team and ensure accurate and timely processing of customer invoices and payments.
Oversee revenue recognition processes in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure accurate recording and reporting of revenue.
Analyze contracts and agreements to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes related to revenue.
Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations related to revenue recognition.
Ad hoc reporting and analysis of revenue streams
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
5+ years of experience in revenue accounting or related field
Communication Skills:
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts, both verbally and written
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner to team members as well as individuals at all levels of Rinchem
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Advance Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, Large Data Set Analysis, XLookup, Formulas)
Emphasis on advanced Excel skills and experience in data analysis and reporting
Other Qualifications:
Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606)
Robust experience in posting journal entries and clear understanding of trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet
