About the Opportunity:

The Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform designs and delivers robust, scalable data infrastructure supporting analytics, operations, and clinical intelligence. This role focuses on building reliable, governed, and high-performing data products while partnering with engineering, analytics, product, and compliance teams. The position also contributes to technical standards, data quality, platform reliability, and the continued growth of the organization's data capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of complex data pipelines and infrastructure across multiple data domains.

• Build and maintain scalable, production-grade data systems that support analytics, operations, and clinical intelligence.

• Implement data quality controls, schema validation, monitoring, and observability measures.

• Participate in architecture discussions and evaluate technologies for scalability, reliability, and governance.

• Write maintainable, testable Python and SQL code following strong software engineering practices.

• Optimize and monitor production workflows using technologies such as Airflow, dbt, AWS EMR, Athena, Kafka, Iceberg, and Parquet.

• Collaborate with analytics, product, compliance, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business requirements.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving engineering standards and development practices.

• Participate in on-call rotations to support platform reliability and resolve production issues.

• Promote technical excellence through code reviews, documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software development focused on data infrastructure.

• Proven experience delivering large-scale, governed data infrastructure projects.

• Experience building and maintaining production-grade systems and API integrations.

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with solid software engineering and testing practices.

• Hands-on experience with Airflow, dbt, AWS services including EMR, Athena, and S3, Iceberg, Parquet, and Kafka.

• Experience mentoring engineers and elevating team engineering standards.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in fast-paced, agile environments.

• Experience working with healthcare data and security or compliance requirements such as HIPAA is preferred.

• Familiarity with Snowflake and Databricks is a plus.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field is a plus.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Salary range: $130,000–$160,000 annually.

• Compensation includes health insurance, 401(k) with company match, and bonus eligibility.
