Join CCT and play an important role in supporting our day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.
CCT is seeking an energetic, confident, and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position will support accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, bank reconciliations, month-end closing, inventory, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, accurate, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working independently while collaborating with teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting and Financial Reporting

Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and monthly financial adjustments.

Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts.

Analyze financial data and identify large, unusual, or inconsistent activity.

Review, investigate, and correct errors in financial entries, documents, and reports.

Maintain the general ledger chart of accounts.
-
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.

Prepare year-end audit and tax workpapers.
-
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, regulatory presentations, special projects, and other Finance initiatives.
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Manage the accounts payable process, from vendor setup through payment.

Support accurate and timely invoice creation, coding, approval, and entry.

Work closely with production facilities to properly code operating expenses.

Assist with accounts receivable collection calls and emails.
-
Review daily sales batches and reconcile cash collections.
-
Maintain accurate records for customer and vendor transactions.
Reconciliations and Financial Schedules

Prepare bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items promptly.

Maintain prepaid expense schedules and record monthly expenses.
-
Maintain operating lease schedules for all companies.
-
Maintain the fixed asset ledger and record monthly depreciation.

Review and maintain benefit schedules and post monthly entries.
-
Update monthly expense and utility analyses.
-
Maintain capital project files and supporting documentation.
Inventory and Production Accounting

Participate in monthly physical inventory counts.
-
Review, record, and update new bills of materials.
-
Assist with production expense monitoring and analysis.
Tax and Compliance Support

Prepare quarterly sales and use tax returns.

Review and file year-end IRS Form 1099 reports.

Assist with annual audit and tax preparation requirements.

Maintain confidential financial and business information.
Additional Support

Perform administrative and accounting duties as assigned by the Controller.

Support additional Finance projects and organizational initiatives as needed.
Requirements
** Qualifications**

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

Two to five years of related accounting experience.

Strong working knowledge of:

General ledger accounting

Accounts payable

Accounts receivable

Bank reconciliations

Profit and loss analysis

Basic accounting principles

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.

Experience working with an enterprise resource planning system preferred.

Experience in manufacturing or production accounting is a plus.
