Staff Accountant

Position Summary

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting. You will be responsible for performing complex accounting tasks, supporting month-ed and year-end close processes, and assisting with financial analysis.

Essential FunctionsResponsibilities

• Perform and review general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

• Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate results

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, amortizations, and other required adjustments

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages

• Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor inquiries

• Partner with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, Operations, and Sales to provide financial insight

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance accounting accuracy

• Assist with implementing new accounting policies, systems, and tools as needed

• All other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience required

• CPA certification preferred (active or in progress)

• Strong understanding of GAAP and general corporate accounting practices

• Experience with NetSuite (ERP) and Salesforce preferred

• Experience with accounting for payroll companies is a plus

• Advanced proficiency in Excel; comfortable with large data sets and complex formulas
