Staff Accountant / Payroll Analyst | Englewood, CO

Employment Type: Full Time and is based 100% in-office in Englewood, Colorado.

Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is a private radiology practice with over 100 radiologists serving 10 hospitals across Colorado. We also provide diagnostic services at more than 40 locations throughout Colorado and Hawaii.

RIA is dedicated to delivering high-quality, specialty-based diagnostic imaging, image-guided therapy, and associated medical care. We operate Invision Sally Jobe (ISJ), a network of 12 outpatient imaging centers in South Denver, offering a wide range of exams using state-of-the-art equipment.

**Position Summary

**

The Staff Accountant / Payroll Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the organization's financial records and the integrity of the payroll process. This hybrid role manages the full accounting cycle—from journal entries and fixed asset tracking to financial statement preparation—while overseeing end-to-end payroll administration. The ideal candidate applies GAAP principles to maintain the general ledger and ensures all payroll-related taxes, benefits, and deductions are recorded and reconciled with precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of accounting, including the recording, classification, and summarization of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP .

  • Initiate and process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments across various accounts and entities.

  • Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data integrity.

  • Track and manage fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and capital expenditure monitoring.

  • Maintain the prepaid expense schedule, ensuring all recurring monthly amortizations are recorded accurately on time.

  • Assist in timely month-end close including income statement reviews.

  • Oversee the end-to-end processing of multi-state payroll, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.

  • Reconcile payroll reports to the general ledger and resolve any discrepancies between the payroll system and financial records.

  • Analyze labor costs, overtime trends, and departmental allocations to provide reports for both monthly income statement reviews and budgeting.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with ERP systems and specialized payroll platforms.

  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

  • Experience in multi-location, healthcare, or physician enterprise environments preferred.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of payroll experience preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central preferred

  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong communication and organizational abilities

  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $31.25 to $36 hourly depending upon qualifications.

In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Radiology Imaging Associate’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position will accept applications on an ongoing basis and will remain open until filled.

Full-time employees will become eligible for benefits on the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment. Part-time employees may have access to some of these benefits, which may be on a pro-rated basis. PRN employees are not eligible for benefits.
