About Us

Peak Accounting Solutions provides fractional CFO and bookkeeping services to businesses in a variety of industries in the Idaho Falls area. We help our clients stay on top of their numbers and make smarter financial decisions, without the overhead of a full in-house finance team. We do not provide audit or tax services, so our team stays focused on the accounting and advisory work we do best.

We're growing and looking to add another team member: a Staff Accountant to work alongside the owner and support a growing number of clients.

What You'll Do

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for a number of clients, including accounts payable, bank and credit card reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Prepare monthly financial statements.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist with reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking for fractional CFO engagements
Communicate directly with clients to answer questions, gather documentation, and provide guidance on accounting principles and structure in plain language.
Maintain accuracy and consistency across client books in accordance with GAAP.
Help identify and implement process improvements, primarily using QuickBooks Online and Excel.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel; comfort learning new tools
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort speaking directly with clients
Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently

Compensation & Schedule

Full-time, in-office position based in Idaho Falls, ID
This role includes PTO but does not include additional benefits
