Position Summary
The General Staff Accountant will support core accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This is an on-site, mid-level role best suited to a candidate with prior experience in a manufacturing environment who understands the accounting needs unique to that setting — job costing, inventory-related transactions, and vendor/purchase order workflows.
Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice matching, coding, and timely vendor payments

Process accounts receivable transactions, including recurring invoice customers, lien waivers, customer deposits.

Perform account reconciliations, including bank, vendor, and general ledger accounts

Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and supporting schedules

Review and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, receiving, and vendor invoices

Maintain accurate and organized accounting records in compliance with company policies and GAAP

Support internal and external audit requests with documentation and analysis as needed

Assist other general accounting duties as assigned

Collaborating with operations and purchasing teams to resolve invoice issues or PO discrepancies tied to manufacturing activity

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls

Maintain accurate transaction coding and data integrity within NetSuite’s modules
-
Support intercompany transactions, audit trails, and system-generated reconciliations

Collaborate with the Controller on NetSuite process improvements and automation opportunities
-
Respond to internal and external audit requests with well-organized documentation

Embrace a “roll up your sleeves” mindset — take on new responsibilities as the team and company grow

Identify and recommend improvements to AP, AR, payroll, and accounting workflows to support scalability
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with prior experience in a manufacturing environment required

Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP a plus.

Experience processing or supporting payroll in ADP (Workforce Now, Run, or TotalSource preferred)

Strong understanding of full-cycle AP, AP, GL coding, accruals, prepaids and month-end close deadlines

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP

Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment

High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive, solutions-oriented attitude

CPA candidate or associate-level accounting designation a plus
