This is a chance to build a construction-accounting foundation while supporting both the Accounting and Project Management teams. The employer name will be shared with candidates during the interview process.
What you'll do

Process, code, and post AP invoices — matching to POs, subcontracts, approvals, and applicable tax; route through the electronic approval workflow and resolve discrepancies with vendors and PMs
-
Maintain vendor and subcontractor records: W-9s, insurance/compliance docs, lien waivers, and joint-check agreements
-
Prepare and issue customer billings and pay applications accurately and on time
-
Support project-level cost accounting — monitor budgets, track expenses, prepare monthly job-cost allocation entries, and assist with profitability analysis
-
Assist with month-end close: accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
-
Provide backup for weekly payroll, timesheet input, and weekly labor-cost reporting
-
Assist with sales/use tax, 1099 preparation, credit card reconciliations, and project closeout documentation
-
Enter and maintain data in the company ERP (Vista by Viewpoint)
What we're looking for
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; OR 4+ years of accounting experience in commercial construction
-
Construction accounting experience strongly preferred for candidates without a related degree
-
Working knowledge of AP, GL, payroll, reconciliations, and cost accounting
-
Comfort working with project budgets, job costs, contracts, POs, and subcontractor documentation
-
Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills; ability to juggle deadlines in a fast-paced environment
