About the Opportunity:

The Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure plays a key role in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud services and infrastructure that power the organization’s telemetry platform. This role works closely with product and platform teams to build reliable, scalable, and highly available systems while improving engineering practices, automation, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product and platform teams to build and improve cloud services, infrastructure, and engineering tools.

• Solve infrastructure challenges through a software-driven, cloud-first approach focused on quality, testability, and repeatability.

• Implement product roadmaps and technical objectives with a strong focus on service delivery and reliability.

• Design and develop scalable infrastructure solutions for complex distributed systems and SaaS environments.

• Establish and promote engineering best practices, standards, and development methodologies.

• Identify sources of operational toil and reduce them through automation and innovative engineering solutions.

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software and infrastructure components.

• Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making across infrastructure initiatives.

• Support system reliability through monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

• Participate in standby, on-call, or off-hours support responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and TypeScript development in Linux or macOS environments.

• Experience building and deploying infrastructure in public cloud environments using software-driven approaches and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.

• Deep experience scaling compute resources in Microsoft Azure.

• Experience working with complex, large-scale, highly available distributed systems and SaaS platforms.

• Strong understanding of software- and API-driven approaches for managing infrastructure at a low level.

• Experience scaling, deploying, and maintaining Linux-based systems.

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with an emphasis on reliability, automation, testing, and maintainability.

• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with distributed, cross-functional engineering teams.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Base salary range: $185,000–$245,000 USD, depending on geographic location and candidate experience.

• Eligibility to participate in the Corporate Bonus Program.
