Use new and modern technology to build new features and services across our microservice architecture

Write thoughtful & quality code that is readable, testable, and easily maintainable

Create data-driven and stable APIs for our mobile apps to consume

Strive for excellent development practices and careful code architecture that is built around rapid releases

Work cross-functionally with all mobile and backend engineers, and product teams to consistently release high-quality, customer-focused features

Adhere to, and improve upon, our agile process through requirement documents, sprint retrospectives, and other regular cadence meetings- Experience with Microservice or Service-oriented Architectures

Experience with working with relational databases

6+ years of experience building backend services with 2+ of those years in a technical leadership capacity (mentoring junior engineers, scoping technical projects, etc.)

Experience with message queues or event streams

Experience using gRPC, protobuf, or GraphQL

Experience proactively working with modern AI-enhanced development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) and a curiosity for emerging AI workflows

Experience building within the Node.js ecosystem

Experience in the financial and rewards tech industry is a plus

Experience managing AWS environments (GCP is a plus)

You’ve been complimented on how well you participate in an open feedback environment
