The Opportunity
At Lightwheel, we build data and simulation capabilities for Physical AI. We’re looking for ambitious builders who want to work directly with customers and take meaningful ownership early in their careers.
You may have completed several demanding internships, launched a venture, shipped a product, or led a team through a difficult problem. We want to understand what you took responsibility for, how you made decisions, and what you accomplished.
You’ll work on real customer problems alongside engineering and operations. You’ll start by owning a defined workstream or pilot, with support from experienced teammates, and grow into responsibility for complete customer projects.
What You’ll Own
-
Understand the problem.
Talk to customers, study their workflows, and turn unclear requests into concrete requirements and success criteria.
-
Shape and test solutions.
Work with engineering and operations to evaluate options, define priorities, and run pilots that answer the most important questions.
-
Ship real work.
Own a workstream or small pilot, coordinate the people involved, and drive it through delivery and customer acceptance.
-
Get into the details.
Examine the data, understand the workflow, find the blocker, and help solve it.
-
Make the next project better.
Identify recurring needs and turn what you learn into useful tools, product improvements, and repeatable approaches.
What You Bring
-
Multiple substantive internships or meaningful entrepreneurial experience, with clear evidence of your contribution and results.
-
At least one example of taking an idea or problem through to a concrete outcome. You can explain your decisions, trade-offs, and what you learned.
-
A founder’s sense of ownership.
You create momentum, seek out the people and resources you need, and follow through.
-
The willingness to take informed risks. You challenge assumptions, try new approaches, and change direction when the evidence calls for it.
-
Strong learning ability, technical curiosity, and practical data analysis skills. You can get up to speed quickly and ask useful questions in unfamiliar territory.
-
Fluent in English and Mandarin.
Bonus Points
-
You’ve built a venture or product , with hands on responsibility for customer discovery, development, acquiring users, or building a team.
-
Internship or project experience in robotics, AI, data, or hardware.
-
A product, tool, or open-source project that people actually use.
-
A background in computer science, AI, automation, electrical engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
