The Role

We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer to join our growing team in Birmingham. This is a full time role, office based, working across a varied portfolio of projects from concept through to construction.

You will undertake structural analysis and design, prepare calculations, drawings and specifications, and develop practical solutions for elements including foundations, retaining structures, basements and roofs.

Working with engineers, architects, contractors and clients to ensure designs are coordinated, compliant and buildable.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• Strong structural design and analysis skills across a range of materials and building types.

• Experience using AutoCAD for structural detailing.

• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, Eurocodes and/or British Standards.

• Ability to interpret drawings, surveys and technical information.

• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

• Civil engineering experience, including drainage, earthworks or external works, would be advantageous.

• Progress towards IEng or CEng status would be beneficial.
