Structural Design Engineer Sydney

Join a highly regarded national structural engineering team in Sydney, working alongside experienced Tier 1 leaders on an exciting and diverse project portfolio — from boutique apartment developments through to high-rise towers, large-scale data centres, Defence projects and major infrastructure temporary works.

This is an opportunity for a Structural Engineer with 5–7 years' Australian experience, particularly within concrete commercial, mid-rise and high-rise buildings, to take the next step in their career while working on technically interesting projects across Australia.

What you'll be doing

• Lead the structural design and delivery of small, medium and large-scale projects

• Work across a diverse portfolio including high-rise towers, data centres, Defence projects and major infrastructure temporary works

• Manage shop drawing reviews and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs)

• Undertake site inspections and prepare detailed inspection reports

• Delegate tasks and provide guidance and feedback to engineers within the team

• Support the development of junior engineers through coaching and mentoring

• Contribute to project management, including multidisciplinary coordination, fee estimates, tender submissions, technical documentation, programming and budget planning

• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders

What we're looking for

• 5–7 years' local Australian structural engineering experience

• Strong experience across concrete commercial, mid-rise and/or high-rise buildings

• A solid understanding of structural design principles and Australian Standards

• Experience taking projects from design through to delivery

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Someone who enjoys working collaboratively and wants to continue developing technically and professionally
