Structural Engineer

We are looking for a

Structural Engineer

to join our construction team in the UAE.

The ideal candidate will have

at least 2-3 years of hands-on structural engineering experience in the UAE

, with strong knowledge of structural design, site execution, drawings, inspections and coordination with consultants and contractors.

The candidate should be comfortable working in a construction/project environment and be able to coordinate effectively with site teams, consultants and other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret structural drawings, specifications and technical documents

• Monitor structural works at site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and site teams regarding structural works

• Conduct site inspections and identify structural issues or discrepancies

• Review structural calculations, shop drawings and method statements where required

• Coordinate structural design requirements with architectural, MEP and other disciplines

• Provide technical support to the construction team during execution

• Identify and resolve structural issues arising during construction

• Monitor the quality and progress of structural works

• Assist with preparation and review of RFIs, technical submissions and other project documentation

• Ensure structural works are executed in accordance with applicable UAE standards, approved drawings and project specifications

• Participate in meetings with consultants, contractors and project stakeholders

• Maintain proper documentation and records related to structural works

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Structural Engineering experience in the UAE is mandatory

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering

• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete and/or structural steel construction

• Practical knowledge of structural drawings, detailing and site execution

• Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors and site teams

• Ability to identify and resolve structural issues on site

• Good knowledge of construction methods and structural engineering principles

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required

• Knowledge of structural analysis/design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro or similar is preferred

• Experience working on residential, commercial or high-rise construction projects in the UAE

• Experience dealing with UAE consultants and authorities

• Familiarity with UAE construction standards, specifications and approval procedures

• UAE engineering accreditation/registration will be an advantage

• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary construction team
