Job Summary

Target Metal Industries is seeking a qualified and experienced Structural Engineer with a strong background in structural steel fabrication and industrial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design coordination, preparation and review of technical drawings, and ensuring that steel structures meet project specifications, engineering standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design calculations for steel structures and industrial facilities.

• Review and prepare structural drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation.

• Coordinate with project managers, draftsmen, production teams, and site engineers to ensure design accuracy and project compliance.

• Review shop drawings, connection details, material specifications, and erection drawings.

• Provide technical support to fabrication and installation teams and resolve engineering-related issues.

• Ensure compliance with relevant structural design codes, project specifications, and applicable safety standards.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on technical matters.

• Monitor design changes and ensure proper documentation and revision control.

• Conduct site inspections when required and verify that structural works comply with approved drawings and specifications.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

• Three years of experience in structural steel design, fabrication, and industrial projects.

• Strong knowledge of structural steel design principles, connection detailing, and fabrication processes.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant structural analysis/design software.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Previous experience in Qatar or the GCC steel fabrication industry will be an advantage.

• Ability to work effectively under project deadlines.
