Technical Product Engineer – Backend / Full Stack (AI-Enabled)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work directly with the founder to turn business problems and ideas into clear technical tasks and working solutions.

• Understand and improve existing backend and full-stack systems, APIs, databases, integrations, and internal business tools.

• Investigate bugs and technical issues using code, logs, data, and evidence before making conclusions.

• Build and improve backend logic, APIs, database workflows, automations, and internal applications.

• Use AI coding tools and agents to accelerate development, debugging, testing, research, and documentation.

• Review and verify AI-generated work instead of trusting it blindly.

• Learn unfamiliar technologies and platforms quickly when required.

• Test changes properly and verify that the requested business outcome is actually achieved.

• Clearly communicate what was completed, what was verified, what remains uncertain, and what should happen next.

• Document important work so another developer can understand and continue it.

• Take ownership of tasks from understanding the requirement through implementation, testing, and handover.

Desired Candidate Profile

We are looking for a hands-on software engineer who is strong in practical problem solving, fast learning, and technical execution.

The ideal candidate should:

• Be currently based in the UAE and available for full-time, on-site work.

• Have real hands-on software development experience, preferably in backend or full-stack development.

• Understand APIs, databases, business logic, Git, debugging, and testing.

• Think logically, investigate before making assumptions, and be comfortable solving unfamiliar problems.

• Be able to enter an existing system, understand how it works, and make safe improvements.

• Actively use AI development tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Codex, or similar tools.

• Understand and verify AI-generated code and technical recommendations before accepting them.

• Be curious about technology and able to learn new tools quickly.

• Take ownership and work independently while knowing when to ask for help.

• Communicate technical issues clearly in English or Arabic.

Experience with Node.js, PHP/Laravel, Python, React/Next.js, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Docker, cloud platforms, DevOps, ERP, e-commerce, SaaS, or AI/LLM systems is an advantage, but no specific technology stack is mandatory.
