Job description
About the role
We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager (Aviation Logistics) who can turn customer needs into clear product plans and working prototypes
. You’ll help build software in the logistics space for the USAF U-2 program, working closely with customers, engineers, and designers to understand problems, define priorities, and deliver useful products.
This is a hands-on role. Beyond owning requirements, schedules, and customer communication, you’ll use AI-assisted coding tools to build frontend prototypes alongside customers rapidly. You should be comfortable translating a conversation into an interactive UI, iterating on feedback in real time, and partnering with engineers to review and productionize what works.
This is a full-time remote role, with occasional customer travel as needed. Candidates must be able to secure a Secret clearance. Target start date is mid-October.
What you’ll do
-
Lead customer discovery sessions to understand workflows, pain points, and business goals.
-
Translate customer needs into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized roadmaps.
-
Build and maintain project schedules, delivery milestones, and timelines; manage dependencies and communicate risks.
-
Use AI-assisted coding tools to build interactive frontend prototypes that help customers explore ideas and validate workflows.
-
Run live prototyping sessions with customers, incorporating feedback and making product decisions together.
-
Partner with engineers to evaluate prototypes, surface technical constraints, and transition validated concepts into production software.
-
Coordinate across customers, engineering, design, and business stakeholders to keep delivery moving.
-
Define success metrics and use customer feedback and product data to guide improvements.
-
Support launches, customer onboarding, and ongoing product adoption.
What you bring
-
Experience in product management, technical program management, or a similar role delivering software products.
-
Strong customer-facing skills, including the ability to lead discovery, clarify ambiguous requests, and communicate tradeoffs.
-
A track record of managing priorities, schedules, and stakeholder expectations.
-
Hands-on ability to build frontend prototypes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, and a modern framework such as React.
-
Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate prototyping, with enough technical understanding to inspect, debug, and explain the resulting code.
-
Familiarity with APIs, data models, Git, and the software development lifecycle.
-
Sound judgment about what a prototype demonstrates and what still requires engineering review, testing, security work, and production hardening.
-
Comfort working through ambiguity and moving between customer conversations, product planning, and hands-on building.
Nice to have
-
Experience with military programs, aircraft, or aircraft sustainment.
-
Experience with logistics, supply chain, transportation, or operational software.
-
A background in software engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or UX prototyping.
-
Experience building business applications with complex workflows, dashboards, or data integrations.
What success looks like
Customers see their needs reflected in working prototypes early. The team has clear priorities and realistic delivery plans. Engineers receive validated concepts with documented requirements and edge cases, and those concepts become reliable products that improve logistics workflows.
