About the Role
NationsBenefits is seeking an experienced, outcome-focused
Product Manager
to own the end-to-end product development lifecycle—from identifying customer and business needs through defining requirements, prioritizing the roadmap, partnering with engineering and design, and measuring results after launch.
This role will work closely with
Engineering, Design, Account Teams, Customers, and Business Stakeholders
to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable product solutions.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a
fast-paced and ambiguous environment
, can independently analyze data using
SQL
, and has a strong track record of taking products and features from concept through launch.
This is a
remote position
, with preference for candidates located in the
Pacific Time Zone
. Candidates should also be comfortable maintaining appropriate working-hour overlap with teams operating in
Eastern Time (ET)
.
Key Responsibilities

Own products and features throughout the
end-to-end product lifecycle
, from discovery and requirements through launch and post-launch evaluation.

Partner with customers, account teams, and business stakeholders to understand needs, pain points, and feature requests.

Translate business requirements into clear
product specifications, user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria
.

Own and continuously prioritize the
product backlog, roadmap, and release plans
based on customer needs, business impact, and technical considerations.

Partner closely with
Engineering and Design
throughout development and delivery.

Lead stakeholder and customer discussions, document decisions, and ensure timely follow-up on open items.

Communicate priorities, trade-offs, dependencies, risks, and timelines to stakeholders.

Identify potential blockers and resolve business or product questions before they impact engineering delivery.

Use
SQL, product analytics, customer feedback, and business data
to validate assumptions and support product decisions.

Define measurable
success criteria, KPIs, and product outcomes
before launch and evaluate results afterward.

Reason through complex
business rules, workflows, system states, and data dependencies
.

Maintain product documentation, release notes, requirements, and other internal materials.
-
Support cross-functional launch planning and product adoption.
-
Use
AI tools
as part of the product workflow while independently validating outputs and recommendations.
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of Product Management experience
.

Experience building or managing
SaaS or technology products
preferred.

Proven ownership of products or features across the
full product development lifecycle
.

Strong experience partnering with
Engineering, Design, Business Stakeholders, and Customers
.

Ability to create clear
product requirements, specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
.
-
Hands-on ability to use
SQL
to query data, investigate issues, validate assumptions, and support product decisions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience working with
complex business rules, workflows, system states, and data dependencies
.

Ability to convert complex business requirements into
simple, actionable product solutions
.

Comfortable incorporating
AI tools
into day-to-day product work.

Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Product Management experience within
healthcare, benefits administration, claims, EDI billing, logistics, or another regulated/operationally complex industry
.

Experience with
Agile, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release planning
.

Experience translating business requirements into both
functional and technical product requirements
.

Direct experience working with customers to identify problems and define solutions.

Experience launching an
AI/LLM-powered product or feature
to production users.

Familiarity with
healthcare claims, benefits administration, EDI, or X12 transaction workflows
.
