Tendering Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender invitations, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.

• Analyze tender requirements and identify project scope, risks, and opportunities.

• Prepare accurate technical and commercial bids within the required deadlines.

• Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimation for construction works.

• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

• Prepare cost comparisons, bid summaries, and tender analysis reports.

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and project teams during the tendering process.

• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and tender clarification meetings when required.

• Prepare tender queries and respond to client clarifications.

• Ensure all tender submissions comply with client requirements and company standards.

• Assist in the handover of awarded projects to the project execution team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or quantity surveying within the construction industry.

• Strong understanding of construction methods, BOQs, specifications, and contract documentation.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Ability to generate Unit Rate Analysis (URA) or Unit Price Analysis (UPA)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Experience with AutoCAD and estimation software is an advantage.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and time-management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tenders and work under tight deadlines.
