Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Testing and Commissioning Engineer role based in Saudi Arabia. The role involves performing electrical testing and commissioning activities for substations and related infrastructure, including protection settings, functional checks, and system performance verification. The engineer will plan and execute testing procedures, prepare technical documentation and test reports, and coordinate with project managers, clients, and site teams to ensure timely and compliant project delivery. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues, verifying adherence to safety and quality standards, and supporting installation teams during project execution and handover. The role also requires participation in site inspections, review of engineering drawings and specifications, and continuous collaboration to optimize system reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with practical experience in power systems and substation equipment.

• Proficiency in Electrical Testing and Testing procedures for protection systems, switchgear, transformers, and related components.

• Hands-on experience as a Commissioning Engineer, including commissioning of substations and associated infrastructure.

• Ability to perform effective Troubleshooting of electrical faults, system performance issues, and protection malfunctions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; advanced certifications in testing and commissioning are an advantage.

• Knowledge of international electrical and safety standards, and experience working within structured project management frameworks.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prepare clear technical reports and documentation.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in diverse on-site teams and interact professionally with clients.

• Willingness to work in field conditions within Saudi Arabia and adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
