Tool Engineering and STTE - Electrical Engineer/Technologist
Key Job Elements
  • Design and validate special tools and test equipment (STTE) for heavy off road vehicles

  • Developing and designing electrical circuits, components, systems and equipment

  • Developing maintenance and operating procedures for electrical systems and equipment

  • Troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment

  • Coordinate STTE prototype fabrication with local vendors to ensure the deliverables are met

  • Communicate with Engineering and Training Department to develop STTE concepts/models

  • Establish and maintain interface with Customers and business partners and suppliers

  • Maintain drawing files and CAD model structure to comply with department procedures

Required Qualifications
  • Electrical Engineering Technologist diploma/ or Degree

  • 1-3 years relevant work experience

  • 1-3 years of 3D Modeling/Parametric CAD experience

  • Must have high level of analytical, problem solving and electrical aptitude skills

  • Effective project management skills

  • Ability to travel (5% Canadian, 5% US & International) and possess/able to acquire and maintain a valid passport

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience

  • 3+ Years of 3D Modeling/Parametric CAD experience

  • Worked with Unigraphics (Siemens NX) CAD software

  • Worked with Team Center Engineering/Manufacturing applications

  • Worked within a unionized environment

Working Environment
  • 80% Office - CAD design

  • 20% Shop Floor Validation - Vendor Fabrication
