An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Lion House Dental Practice in Buckingham as a Trainee Dental Nurse.

This position has become available because one of our experienced dental nurses is progressing into a senior role across our group of practices. As our team continues to develop, we are looking for someone new to begin their career with us and train towards becoming a fully qualified, GDC-registered Dental Nurse.

You do not need any previous dental experience. We are looking for the right person: someone who is friendly, professional, reliable and genuinely interested in developing a long-term career in dentistry and healthcare.

As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to learn within an experienced clinical team while gradually developing the knowledge, confidence and practical skills required to become an excellent dental nurse.

Your Training

You will be enrolled on to a Dental Nurse Apprenticeship program, leading to a recognised qualification and eligibility to register with the General Dental Council (GDC).

Your training will combine structured learning with hands-on experience in the practice.

You will receive:

• Full funding of your Dental Nurse Apprenticeship

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside our dentists and wider clinical team, you will gradually learn how to:

• Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures

• Prepare and maintain dental surgeries

• Support patients before, during and after treatment

• Follow high standards of infection prevention and cross-contamination control

• Maintain accurate clinical records

• Understand the patient flow from reception to chair

• Process and manage dental instruments safely

• Take responsibility for stock and clinical materials

• Work effectively as part of the wider dental team

• Provide a professional and reassuring experience for our patients

You will not be expected to know how to do these things when you start — we will train you.
