The volunteer
Senior Accountant
is responsible for maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial information for decision-making. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate records, supporting audits, and contributing to overall fiscal responsibility.
Responsibilities

Preparing and Analyzing Monthly and Annual Financial Statements

Managing journal entries and account reconciliations

Assisting with budgeting and forecasting

Ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements

Overseeing payroll and benefits
-
Maintaining accurate financial records.

Additional duties may involve evaluating accounting systems and assisting with Audits and Compliance filings
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is typically required, along with relevant experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory rules is essential, as is proficiency in QuickBooks Online Software and Microsoft Excel.

Desired skills include strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, excellent communication, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.

A CPA certification is a plus.
Requirements

Minimum 90-minute commitment weekly (typically 2-5 hours)

Ability to attend One-One Meetings & Team Meetings

Ability to check Emails Daily (M-F)

Committed to serve for 24 months
