Job Summary

We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, maintain, and monitor data pipelines supporting business applications and reporting platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for data ingestion, transformation, integration, data quality, troubleshooting, and ensuring the timely availability of accurate data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and monitor data pipelines supporting business and event applications.

• Manage data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes.

• Ensure timely and reliable availability of data for reporting and operational requirements.

• Troubleshoot data flow, latency, integration, and data quality issues.

• Support ETL/ELT processes and database operations.

• Support integration between source systems and reporting platforms.

• Validate data accuracy, consistency, and completeness during live operations.

• Monitor data pipelines and identify potential failures or performance issues.

• Coordinate with application, reporting, and IT teams regarding data dependencies and integration requirements.

• Support data reconciliation and analysis following operational activities or events.

• Perform remote troubleshooting when required.

• Maintain technical documentation, operational records, and reports.

• Follow established quality processes, procedures, and IT best practices.

• Work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Handle multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, data pipelines, ETL, databases, and data integration.

• Hands-on experience with data ingestion, transformation, and integration.

• Good understanding of relational databases and data structures.

• Experience troubleshooting data pipeline and data quality issues.

• Experience working with reporting platforms and source-system integrations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Broad understanding of IT systems and technologies.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Experience working in a customer service or support environment is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in Qatar or the GCC region.

• Experience supporting live events, large-scale operations, or high-volume data environments.

• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms.

• Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI.

• Familiarity with IT service management processes and ticketing systems.

• Knowledge of emerging data technologies and industry best practices.
