SUMMARY
We're looking for a Graphic Designer to join our team delivering high-quality visual design for a High Profile Government Department โ think campaign materials, publications, presentations, and brand assets used across government and international audiences. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, with room to also flex into UX/digital design occasionally.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Design visually compelling assets; presentations, publications, infographics, campaign and promotional materials, for a High Profile Government Department and related stakeholders

Prepare and manage press-ready artwork with print vendors, meeting production and brand standards

Maintain and evolve consistent visual identity and branding across all materials

Design layouts for print and digital assets

Produce multimedia content across platforms, ensuring a high level of quality and creativity

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for visual and brand elements

Opportunity to contribute to digital/UX projects, wireframes, prototypes, and interface design
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
-
Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design works.

Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word and PowerPoint).

Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, colour theory, and layout.

Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment (at times).

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Hold a NV1 or higher Australian Government security clearance.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA

Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles and best practices.

Understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards.

Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and web development processes.

Willingness to learn and develop user experience design skills.
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAITS
-
A minimum of 4+ years of experience working at a digital agency as a Graphic Designer or UI Designer.

Portfolio of key projects delivered in past years, calling out your role on the project, deliverables responsible and successes achieved.

Excellent communication skills (both in conversation and in writing) and a portfolio which demonstrates this ability in various phases of design.

Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.

Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently.

Worked within collaborative, cross-functional teams to deliver multiple, successful projects.
