Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a Mobile Application Developer. The Mobile Application Developer will design, build, and maintain mobile applications that support The Minimalist Insight’s mission of intentional living and self-understanding. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing features, optimizing performance, debugging issues, and collaborating with designers and product stakeholders to deliver intuitive, minimalist user experiences. The developer will write clean, maintainable code, integrate APIs and data sources, and ensure applications are secure, accessible, and scalable across devices. The role also involves participating in code reviews, documenting technical decisions, and iterating based on user feedback.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Mobile Application Development and experience building Mobile Applications for iOS or cross-platform environments.

• Proficiency in Application Development workflows, including version control, testing, and deployment pipelines.

• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to write modular, reusable code.

• Hands-on experience with iOS Development using Swift or Objective-C and familiarity with the Apple ecosystem and App Store guidelines.

• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating backend services into mobile applications.

• Ability to translate product and design requirements into simple, intuitive mobile experiences that align with minimalist and user-centered design principles.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting while communicating clearly with a distributed team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with cross-platform frameworks (such as React Native, Flutter, or similar) is a plus.

• Interest in mindfulness, intentional living, or personal development is beneficial for aligning with the brand’s mission.
