Power BI Developer (BI & AI Analytics)

The Role

You’ll own the full BI lifecycle, from gathering requirements with stakeholders to modelling data, building dashboards and automating reports. You’ll also help us explore how AI and LLM-powered tools can make our analytics smarter and more self-service.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements from stakeholders and clients and turn them into BI and reporting solutions.

• Design and build data models and data marts that support reporting and analytics.

• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and KPI reports for management and clients.

• Build and maintain ETL pipelines from SQL databases, ERP systems and other enterprise sources.

• Write and optimise SQL queries across multiple database platforms.

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity across all reports.

• Automate recurring reporting processes to cut manual effort.

• Act as the link between data and the business by presenting insights that drive decisions.

• Support AI adoption in analytics, including AI-assisted reporting, natural-language querying and automated insight generation.

• Work with developers, data engineers and project teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in BI, data analytics or data engineering roles.

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, Power Query and dashboard design.

• Solid SQL skills, ideally across more than one platform (e.g. SQL Server, Teradata, Trino).

• Experience with data warehousing concepts, data marts and ETL pipelines.

• Proficiency in Python for data work (Pandas, NumPy, Plotly or Matplotlib).

• Proven ability to gather requirements and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.

• Fluent English; Arabic is a strong advantage.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Databricks or other big data platforms.

• Familiarity with Tableau or other BI tools.

• Exposure to machine learning or Generative AI (LLMs, RAG, Azure OpenAI) applied to analytics.

• Experience with Docker, FastAPI or MLOps workflows.

• A BI certification or diploma, or ongoing postgraduate study in AI or Data Science.
